Days & Months Quiz

Pick a language to start a quick interactive quiz on the days of the week and the months of the year. Each page includes pronunciation, IPA, audio and example sentences.

Why days and months are worth ten minutes

Days and months are the single most useful piece of vocabulary you can learn after the numbers 1–10. They unlock every appointment, booking, deadline, opening time, birthday and travel plan in your target language — and there are only nineteen words to learn per language. The quiz on each page uses spaced multiple-choice questions with native-style audio so you hear the pronunciation and lock the spelling in at the same time.

Frequently asked questions

What's the fastest way to learn the days of the week in a new language?+

Say all seven out loud in order every morning for a week. Pair them with one thing you actually do that day (e.g. 'lunes — gym'). The quiz on each language page locks the order in with audio.

How many months are there in Spanish, French, German and Italian?+

Twelve, the same as English — all four languages use the Gregorian calendar with the same month structure. Only the spelling, pronunciation and capitalisation change.

Are days and months capitalised in other languages?+

English and German capitalise both. Spanish, French and Italian write the days and months in lowercase except at the start of a sentence. Each language quiz uses the correct form.

Is this quiz free?+

Yes — every language quiz, the audio and the example sentences are free. Pro unlocks the full vocab table and ad-free practice.
